Distinguished Kipsigis leaders

Hon. Franklin Bett (Komutket Clan) and Hon. Zakayo Cheruiyot (Kipangwanek Clan) both of the buffalo totem.

Zakayo Cheruiyot was MP for Kuresoi South Constituency (2013-2017) and Kuresoi Constituency (2007-2013). He was also PS for International Security from 1997 to 2003.

Franklin Bett was MP for Bureti Constituency from (2007-2013) and Minister for Roads and Transport from 2009 to 2013. He was also Statehouse Comptroller from 1996 to 1998 and later PS for Environmental Conservation.

Scanty Chelangat captured the attention of the Nation in 2015 when she developed a cancerous tumour in her eye. Mike Sonko offered to sponsor her medical bills in India and the operation was successful. She is now a form three student at Kipsigis Girls High School. Scanty hails from Ainamoi Constituency, Kericho County. MCA Paul Tarimbo has stood with her since 2015 to 2024 when he took her for admission at Kipsigis Girls. She is under Kenya Pipeline Company scholarship covering her education to university level.

Fair Girl Chelaa Bittok has lost her YouTube channel with 21.7K subscribers to Korir Bernard after their relationship ended abruptly. The two are reported to have been an item for the longest time. Cases of cheating from both sides led to an acrimonious separation and scramble for the control of the channel. By yesterday evening, all songs in the channel had been deleted.
