Hi kadot, there's a lady who stays in Mbotela Estate in Nairobi. I've been seeing her for more than six years. She's populary known as Mary of which no one is sure whether thats her real name. She talks a lot when engaged but unfortunately it's difficult to comprehend what she talks about since she's mentally unstable. She survives by the mercies of Mbotela residents. Kalenjin artistes are still protesting over unpaid awards for Kalenjin Music Festival and Awards. They are now threatening to go public.

Kalenjin Music Festival Secretariat had posted that 93% of the artists were already paid by the Kenya Cultural Centre. It added that 5% was deducted as withholding tax.

2025 Edition, which was the 3rd of its kind was so complicated and confusing. The first and second editions were straight forward. Winners took the money immediately upon announcement.

The Patron Hon. Johana Ngeno Ngong who was crowned Kalenjin artists kingpin during the event is yet to comment on the issue.
