Made in Kibera is a project by Kenyan community based organization Kibera Creative Arts and spanish NGO Más por Ellos that unifies the voices of Kibera artists, the biggest slum in Africa, to create a speaker that spreads their story around the world. These are stories full of hard work, solidarity, positivity and desire of success: stories that are waiting to be uncovered. Kibera Creative Arts (K

iCA) is non-religious, non-tribal, non-political Community Based Organization that is aimed at empowering Kibera community through Arts. KiCA was formed by young men and women that driven by the zeal to transform their community using their different potetials, talents and gifts. These founder youths had previously worked in different community project with different organization and saw the need to bring together their experiences in this transformation journey in the communty. Joining them, Más Por Ellos, a Spanish NGO based in Kibera since 2013 promoting sustainable development in the slum through different projects and initiatives. We have been working together for a long time, planning, shooting and showing the stories of Kibera people. We’ve been recording under sun and rain, walking the streets up and down, sharing ugali, chapatti or chai with a nice chit-chat, singing and laughing together. Together we are more able to achieve our dream: changing the negative image of the slum through the voice of its artists and empower them to make a live out of their talents.

¡Join us and find it out new stories pretty soon!

In the studio yesterday, was KiCA Kids and Batuta Kids from Colombia recording a special song born out of the Children and Teenage Music & Culture Exchange Program.
It was also remarkable day as we were honored to receive distinguished guests—H.E. Pedro León Cortés Ruiz, the Ambassador of Colombia to Kenya, and Ms. Zainab Hawa Bangura, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi who were were thrilled by the vibrant children's performances.

**The program, titled "Roots: Voices Across Continents," is organized by Kibera Creative Arts (KiCA) and the Embassy of Colombia in Kenya, in partnership with the Fundación Nacional Batuta.
