I’m excited to officially announce the return of the Hon. Mary Maingi Football Tournament – Season 4! This year, we go Bigger, Bolder and Better, building on the incredible impact of past tournaments where we’ve discovered talent, empowered youth, and united Mwea through sports.

Tomorrow, we kick off the first fixtures in Wamumu Ward, and the action promises to be fire!

3️⃣ Naivas vs Matithini – 12 NOON

Under the visionary leadership of Hon. Mary Maingi, MP Mwea continues to witness real progress. Today, the NG-CDF team, led by Chairman Geofrey Githitu and fund Manager Isaac Wamugunda hosted senior officials including Mr. Lawrence Mbuthia from the NG-CDF Board, Regional Fund Manager Peter Wagereka, and Mutugi Mbaabu from the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy.

They inspected the nearly completed Huduma Centre and Jitume Hub (95% finished) a flagship project spearheaded through Hon. Mary Maingi’s commitment to accessible public services and digital empowerment.

This centre will soon open its doors, easing access to government services while equipping Mwea youth with opportunities to thrive in the digital economy.
