KAMBA FESTIVAL: THE OWNERSHIP QUESTION RICK BE MUST ANSWER....
Ikenge TV has looked at the documents surrounding the Kamba Festival ownership dispute, and they raise some serious questions for Rick Be.
According to the documents in our possession, Kamba Festival Limited was registered with Rick Be and Nicholas Kioko as directors and shareholders, with each holding 500 ordinary shares.
The Kamba Festival trademark was also registered under BOTH Rick Be and Nicholas Kioko.
Read that again: BOTH OF THEM.
So when Rick Be now claims that Kamba Festival belongs to him, the obvious question is: on what basis?
When the two later fell out, Nicholas Kioko chose to move on and created Kamba Experience, instead of continuing with the disputed Kamba Festival brand.
Rick Be, however, continued using the Kamba Festival name and is now claiming it as his own.
But business ownership doesn't work because two people have had a fallout.
If Nicholas transferred his rights to Rick Be, where is the transfer document?
If he sold his shares, where is the agreement?
If there was a settlement giving Rick Be exclusive rights to the brand, where is it?
Because the documents we have seen tell us that Kamba Festival was not originally registered as Rick Be's property alone.
So, Rick Be, this one is simple:
If Kamba Festival is now exclusively yours, show us the document that made it yours.
Until then, claiming sole ownership while the available records name two owners raises more questions than answers.
