A Kenyan nurse working in the United States has been arrested in Orlando, Florida after being accused of supplying high voltage electricity to a vulnerable patient at a hospital. Authorities say 46-year-old Abedinecho Kyalo Katue, who worked as a float nurse at AdventHealth, allegedly entered a patient’s room in January 2025 while she was bedridden and using a bedpan.
The patient, an amputee, reported that the nurse inappropriately touched her and attempted to justify the act by telling her the behavior was “normal.” Investigators further claim the patient told them the nurse later administered morphine through her IV without her consent.
She believes the injection may have been intended to silence her after the alleged incident. Hospital staff were reportedly alerted the same day, and the nurse was immediately sent home. However, authorities say he disappeared shortly after and remained wanted for several months.
The search came to an end this week when police officers spotted a white Range Rover linked to him along Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. After confirming he had an active warrant, officers arrested him.
Katue is currently being held at the govt owned Airbnb without bond and is facing felony charges. As with all criminal cases, he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Now, According to some Kenyan women, Abedinecho Kyallo Katue is not guilty of anything and the authorities in the US are seeing for him. This effect is called the pretty privilege!
