Lusaka Rallies Western Kenya Behind President Ruto’s Development Agenda
Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on residents of Western Kenya to throw their full support behind President William Ruto’s transformative development agenda. Speaking in Mavala, Kakamega County, during an interdenominational prayer and thanksgiving service, Lusaka emphasized the importance of aligning with the current administration to unlock significant development opportunities for the region. He stressed that meaningful progress can only be achieved by working closely with those in power, using the analogy, “You only go to look for cow dung in a home that rears cattle.” The event, organized by President Ruto’s personal aide, Farouk Kibet, was attended by over 60 churches, several Members of Parliament, and local leaders, showcasing strong collaboration between political and religious leadership in Western Kenya. The event also raised KSh 9.5 million in support of the participating churches, further cementing the growing partnership for regional development.
