There is a time that comes and a man has to stop hiding behind 'I come from a poor background' or ' I'm an orphan.' His failure is no longer tied to his background or past inequities, but his own failure to rise. If I meet Libe Lawrence in an attempt to lure her heart and I start lamenting how I come from a humble background or how my parents died while I was young, at my age, that's bu****it. That's an excuse.

For the longest time, Northern Eastern Kenya has used marginalisation as the excuse for less development in their counties, 60 years post independence. There may have been eniquities decades ago but since CDF, equalisation Fund and even county equitable share came, there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE.

We saw the governor of Mandera claiming he used 59 million to buy seedlings but the seedlings can't be seen. It's even shocking to learn the seedlings in question is actually Maize. Since when did Mandera start large scale farming to a point of procuring seedlings worth 59 million?

H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH may be labelled as tribal, but the guy is always right. He has the points, the only problem is how he chooses to deliver them. I feel like it's a strategy. Guy talks recklessly about something, he captures the attention of the whole nation as they insult him, then he comes to clarify his point later. That's a masterclass.

Now we are seeing leaders from North Eastern travelling back to their constituencies to serve children porridge. We even saw Oscar Kipchumba Sudi in his constituency trying to tell the country that he can also offer free meals in his constituency.

If only Kenyans can agree to discuss the real issues affecting them and this country without senselessly shouting TUTAM or WANTAM, that's when we as a people will rescue this country.

Every attack on Rigathi Gachagua is not weakening him it is forging him.

History is ruthless: power never realizes when it is manufacturing its own enemy. The more William Ruto persecutes Gachagua, the more he elevates him. The more state machinery is unleashed, the more a symbol is born. Victims become martyrs. Targets become movements. Harassment turns into halo.

You don’t create heroes with praise.
You create them with fear, force, and injustice.

Rigathi Gachagua didn’t ask to be crowned power did it for him. Every raid, every intimidation, every public humiliation is a campaign rally he didn’t organize but keeps winning.

And let it be said clearly: touching his life would not erase him it would immortalize him. Kenya has seen this script before. Violence never buries ideas; it embalms them.

Power should be careful. Very careful.
Because today you think you are crushing a man but tomorrow you may wake up facing a symbol too big to silence.

Oppression doesn’t end threats.
It creates legends.
