Untouchable Nyaribari Chache MP Zaheer Jhanda has admitted that his supporters retaliated during the violent clashes involving the Linda Mwananchi team at Keumbu Market, which left one person dead and several others injured.
According to the MP, members of the Linda Mwananchi camp were the first to throw stones, prompting his supporters to respond by hurling stones back. He maintained that his supporters acted in retaliation after being attacked.
However, the MP did not explain how stones allegedly found their way to his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) offices, where they were reportedly collected by his supporters before being used during the confrontation. The violence also caused extensive damage to vehicles, including shattered windows on the Linda Mwananchi convoy.
