The mission of AGR News is to:
Deliver truthful, accurate, and balanced journalism free of bias or prejudice. Provide a platform for diverse voices across Africa, the diaspora, and global communities. Serve as a cultural bridge, celebrating African identity while fostering dialogue with the world. Uphold editorial independence and integrity in all decisions and operations. Advance the educational, civic, and developmental growth of our people, especially the youth. Article II – Guiding Principles
Section 1: Accuracy and Objectivity
AGR shall report facts truthfully, fairly, and in full context. Errors, when made, shall be corrected openly and transparently. All coverage shall remain free from political manipulation, tribal favoritism, or personal agenda. Section 2: A Forum for All Voices
AGR shall reflect Africa’s diversity, including voices of the diaspora and global perspectives. Programs shall engage political, cultural, social, and religious viewpoints. Special priority shall be given to marginalized voices—especially youth, women, and minorities. Section 3: Cultural Identity and Exchange
AGR shall honor African heritage, traditions, and languages, including Kisii, Swahili, and English. AGR shall showcase African innovation, resilience, and creativity while engaging with global cultures. Stories of migration, unity, and cross-cultural exchange shall remain at the heart of AGR’s work. Section 4: Independence and Integrity
Editorial control shall remain free of external political or financial interference. AGR shall practice full transparency in funding and partnerships. AGR’s loyalty shall always rest with the public interest, never special interests. Section 5: Education and Development
AGR shall promote civic responsibility, media literacy, and awareness of global issues. AGR shall nurture future leaders through training, mentorship, and internships. AGR shall highlight solutions-oriented journalism—seeking to inform not just on problems, but on pathways to progress. Article III – The AGR Commitment
