HEARTBREAKING 💔

Pratik Joshi had spent six long years in London, working as a dedicated software engineer and building a better future — not just for himself, but for the family he loved so deeply back in India.

Every day, he dreamed of the moment his wife, Dr. Komi Vyas, and their children would join him — a family finally reunited, a new life beginning on foreign soil. After years of navigating paperwork and bureaucracy, the wait was finally over.

Just two days ago, Komi resigned from her job. With hopeful hearts and packed suitcases, they said goodbye to loved ones, hugged their parents tightly, and looked ahead to the next chapter of their lives.

This morning, their hearts full of joy, the family of five boarded Air India flight 171 to London. Pratik took a selfie with his wife and children — smiling, beaming with anticipation — and sent it to their relatives as a final farewell from Indian soil.

But just hours later, joy turned to unspeakable tragedy.

The plane crashed.
Only one person survived.

In mere moments, an entire future — built on love, sacrifice, and hope — was shattered beyond words. A family's dreams turned to ashes in the cruelest twist of fate.

When Patriotism Is Misunderstood: Why the Homa Bay Madaraka Day Turnout Deserves Respect

The turnout at this year’s Madaraka Day celebration in Homa Bay’s Raila Odinga Stadium was nothing short of extraordinary. Thousands thronged the venue. Some even camped overnight, determined not to miss a historic moment. But what should have been seen as a mark of civic pride and unity has instead been met with skepticism, tribal accusations, and cynicism from some quarters.

This bitterness is misplaced—and dangerous.

Let’s be clear: the people of Homa Bay came out not because they were “used” by anyone, but because they are Kenyans. Patriotic, proud, and hungry to be included in national narratives that have too often overlooked them.

For decades, Nyanza has been politically sidelined. Hosting a national day in this region—at a stadium named after one of Kenya’s most enduring political figures—was not just symbolic; it was restorative. It was an affirmation that the people of Nyanza are just as Kenyan as anyone else, and their role in building this country is recognized.

Suggesting that their participation was the result of manipulation insults their intelligence and undermines their agency. Why should other regions be applauded for turning up at national events, but when Luos do the same, it is tribalized or dismissed as blind loyalty?

If we truly believe in national unity, we must accept that all Kenyans—regardless of tribe or political alignment—have a right to engage in national discourse and events. Inclusivity is not a trap. Participation is not betrayal.

Let’s stop seeing every handshake, every warm welcome, and every act of civic pride through the narrow lens of tribe and politics. Homa Bay was not just hosting Madaraka Day—it was reminding the rest of the country that unity starts when we stop questioning each other’s patriotism.
I support the turnout. I applaud the community.

Kenya is bigger than politics. And Madaraka Day is for every Kenyan.

As you wait for God to answer your prayers:

1. Get involved in something productive
2. Start with what is available. It will lead you to what you want
3. Learn to manage what what you have. God can not give you what you can't handle
4. Trust in the process. Shortcuts are short-lived.

SOME MATHEMATICAL INTRIGUES ABOUT 2025

1. 2025, itself, is a PERFECT square:

45² = 2025

2. It is a product of TWO squares, viz:

9² × 5² = 2025.

3. It is the sum of THREE squares, viz:

40² + 20² + 5² = 2025.

4. 2025 is the next PERFECT SQUARE
that comes after the year 1936.

44² = Year 1936
45² = Year 2025

5. It's the sum of cubes of all the
single digits, from 1 to 9. viz:

1³ + 2³ + 3³ + 4³ + 5³ + 6³ + 7³
+ 8³ + 9³ = 2025.

Year 2025 shall indeed be an interesting year...🤔

Just work hard, no shortcuts

'IF I KNEW'

Part Two
.. "if she eventually finds out that you occupy the entire apartment?" I queried.

"I shall be the one to first let her in at the end before she realizes I own this home. I'll explain to her that I was just trying to gauge her personality type.

"Ok. I said, "Let's see how it goes.

I sent him my warmest wishes.

The fiance arrived a week later.

He introduced himself as an auto mechanic to the woman at first. He kept his business dealings in vehicle spare parts a secret.

The lady advised him that as long as he is doing something that can bring food to his table, the sky will be his starting point with further work.

He then led her to the one room he had designated as his own space.

When the lady arrived, she began to prepare the room for him. She swept and scrubbed the room, bringing life to it. She urged my friend not to be discouraged by his poor beginnings, assuring him that God has not abandoned him. She reminded him that many wealthy men began in this manner before breaking through. And as long as he has a place to sleep, his future seems promising.

My buddy was overjoyed by this lady's acts and words of support.

He later married the lady, and they have three children and are living happily.
