2 days ago, I received an appeal for intervention on behalf of the family of Cynthia Nanjala, a 20yr old woman who had barely been in Nairobi for a week, working as a house manager and was now lying dead at the Kenyatta Hospital Morgue. She had been r***d, poisoned and spine broken.

According to the family, the girl had been complaining of sexual abuse by her employer's husband. Her elder sister was called to the hospital just before Cynthia's death, where she alleges her younger sister told her that her boss had r***d her. She had been taken to KNH by a good Samaritan who found her dumped naked in Lunga Lunga.

The family is alleging that the investigations and attitude they are receiving from Embakasi police may not be up-to par because the woman whose husband is the key suspect is an officer with the Kenya Defence Forces. It is also alleged that a key witness, the previous house girl who was handing over to Cynthia may also be missing as her family is unable to trace her since Cynthia died. Her phone has been mteja.

I reached out to IPOA, DCI and Kenya Police. IPOA got back to me and contacted the family. I also made an appeal for media to highlight. Asante to the stations that reached out.

Let us hope that it will not take social media pressure for Cynthia to get justice!

There was a Matatu strike today on Waiyaki way. They were complaining about the lack of passenger stages along Waiyaki way for them to drop and pick passengers.
They allege that at least 4 people have died in the last week trying to cross to access Matatu services.

Good morning AmKenyan family! Extend a prayer to the family of Dr Cliff Momanyi that he is found safe and sound. He did not finish his testimony in the Obado murder case yesterday because one of the lawyers representing the accused suddenly got sick during proceedings and the case had to be adjourned to later this month.

Over 5 years later, and her unborn baby is yet to come!

As Miriam Westendarp toured Kenya with her late husband, they came across orphans in Maua Meru who lived in the streets. Their situation disturbed them enough to want to do something about it.
They started Newlife Nyambene children's home in the year 2000.

Miriam entrusted the running of the home to a 'Bishop' and politician(former MCA) Ambrose Gichunge who is also popularly known as NUNU.
He mismanaged it to a point where it was eventually run down and Ambrose chased the children away from their land in 2015.

6 years later, the children, many who went back to the streets are yet to get their land back due to fear of violence by Ambrose and his goons.

The team visited Maua to capture the sentiments of some of the orphans affected.

In October 2021, government sponsored goons demolished homes belonging to thousands of families in the Mukuru informal settlement. The affected families re-built temporary structures after public outcry and a promise from the government and in particular Nairobi Metropolitan Services that they will be supported to re-settle.

Two months later, the goons were back, this time at night with teargas and explosives for a second wave of demolitions.
Reports indicate at least one person was killed and many injured. Children were not spared either.

For those of us who grew up in Maumau families, we were told stories of the war as dinner cooked on three stoned fireplaces. Stories of who the TRUE Maumau fighters were.
We then watched our relatives grow old in extreme poverty because the FAKE Maumau robbed them of their land too after the british left.

Artists Monaja and the Ameru Crew honoured 2 Maumau leaders, Baimungi and Chui, in a recently released song. They were assasinated by Kenyatta’s government.

We are not taught in depth about who our true heroes were because the THIEVES who took over after independence also wrote the ‘history’ we are fed.

The blood of the sons and daughters of Kenya who fought for our ‘freedom’ still cries out for justice.
We are not yet free!
