We thank H.E. President William Samoei Ruto for launching the Affordable Housing Project and commissioning the Homa Bay Municipal Market. Earlier, on behalf of our county, I shared our development priorities, which include healthcare, housing, infrastructure, trade and the blue economy.

At Tom Mboya University in Homa Bay Town, Governor Gladys Wanga presented Homa Bay’s development plan that focussed on healthcare, housing, road infrastructure and trade, especially in relation to fishing.

Leaders present were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko, Senator Moses Kajwang’, Millie Odhiambo (Suba North), John Mbadi (Nominated), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Joyce Atieno (Woman Rep.), Lilian Gogo (Rangwe), among others.

Small markets like the Pier fish market in Homa Bay is central to our economic transformation from the bottom. We will work with County Governments to grow this sector that is a source of livelihoods for millions of Kenyans.

We congratulate the County Government of Homa Bay under Governor Gladys Wanga for leading the way in demonstrating the need for national and county governments to work together.

Commissioned the Homa Bay Municipal Market and toured the Pier Fish Market in Homa Bay Town, Homa Bay County.

Nyanza leaders accompanying President William Ruto in the launch of development projects in Homa Bay were Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko, Senator Moses Kajwang’, MPs Jared Okello (Nyando), Walter Owino (Awendo), Paul Abuor (Rongo), Mark Nyamita (Uriri) and Fatuma Mohamed (Woman Rep., Migori).

Others were Adipo Okuome (Karachuonyo), Eve Obara (Kabondo Kasipul), Lilian Gogo (Rangwe), Ong’ondo Were (Kasipul), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Millie Odhiambo (Suba North), John Mbadi (Nominated), Joyce Atieno “Bensuda” (Woman Rep., Homa Bay), Mathias Robi (Kuria West), Marwa Kitayama (Kuria East), Zaheer Jhande (Nyaribari Chache) and John Waluke (Sirisia).

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, Information, Communication and the Digital Economy CS Eliud Owalo, and former Governors Jack Ranguma (Kisumu), Okoth Obado (Migori), Evans Kidero (Nairobi) and Otieno Awiti (Homa Bay) were also there.

The Ministry of Sports will run an annual soccer tournament, which will begin at the wards across Kenya, culminating with a national-level final match. We believe this will facilitate talent exploitation, the celebration of our diversity and unite the country.

It was during the qualification for the quarter-finals of Gladys Wanga’s Genowa Governor’s Cup at the Homa Bay School grounds, Homa Bay County.

CHANGE OF HEART: NYANZA SHALL TRANSFORM

His Excellency the President William Ruto will this week visit Nyanza as political goodwill has been birthed to make way for the transformation of the region.

Former Prime minister H.E Raila Odinga expressed goodwill through the cooperation of Nyanza governors and leaders expected to welcome President Ruto this weekend as he visits Homa Bay and attends CS ICT, Communication and Digitisation Hon. Eliud Owalo's homecoming in Siaya.

We thank God for a unifying President and for a tranquil and friendly welcome to everyone as Kenya levels into the next frontier. Kenya is one nation under God.
