Story Matters Entertainment, in collaboration with UNHCR, has started meetings with community leaders to discuss the best ways of sharing information within the community and to collect feedback on services being provided.

As part of this activity, we also had the opportunity to donate two megaphones to Kakuma 1 Zones 1 and 2, which will support Community Watch Committees (CWC) in sharing important information and announcements with community members.

This initiative aims to strengthen communication, community participation, and access to information

We are listening to community leaders to understand the best ways to share information, improve communication channels, and receive feedback on services provided in the camp.

We will continue visiting different zones to collect your views and ideas. Your voice matters! You can also share your suggestions and feedback here.

Story Matters Entertainment conducted an engaging film screening session in Line Moja, Host Community, focusing on vandalism, peace, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The session brought together 70 young people who actively participated in discussions and shared their experiences and ideas on building a safer and more peaceful community.

Story Matters Entertainment met with over 50 girls from different nationalities at Turkana Cafeteria in Kakuma 1 for an inspiring discussion on “Her Voice, Her Power.”

We discussed the importance and contribution of girls and women in our communities, challenges girls face during the holiday period, and the importance of knowing where and how to report Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The session created a safe space for girls to share, learn, connect, and promote peace, awareness, and empowerment. Together, let’s continue giving girls a voice and building safer communities.
