'A child s*x predator ' U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has shared on its official social media platforms details concerning a South Sudanese national residing in the United States who has been identified as a convicted child s*x offender.
According to the statement, the individual, identified as Ruben Marier, legally entered the United States in 1999 and has since accumulated multiple criminal convictions. These reportedly include domestic assault, attempted child s*xual assault, child negligence, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving under the influence (DUI).
ICE further indicated that the individual had previously been placed on supervised release pending the acquisition of travel documents during the Obama administration. The agency stated that, on July 7, he was taken back into custody as part of enforcement actions aimed at protecting public safety.
