UPDATE: Ten family members from Lokitoeangaber Village in Turkana North were injured after petrol stored inside their manyatta ignited when a cigarette was lit.

According to reports, nine of the victims are currently receiving treatment at the Lodwar County and Referral Hospital (LCRH), while one was treated and discharged.

No fatalities have been reported, but authorities have urged residents to avoid storing flammable substances in living spaces to prevent similar incidents.
