WHAT IS SIN?

James 4:17 NASB2020
[17] So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.

Romans 14:23 NLT
[23] But if you have doubts about whether or not you should eat something, you are sinning if you go ahead and do it. For you are not following your convictions. If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning.

1 John 3:4 NIV
[4] Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

Hebrews 11:6 NLT
[6] And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

BEYOND ELEMENTARY TEACHINGS TO MATURITY.

Hebrews 6:1, 3, 12 NIV
[1] Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,
[3] And God permitting, we will do so.
[12] We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

The Lord has permitted us to move onto maturity and to inherit His promises.
So let us not be lazy but press on.
