The National Police Service (NPS) has addressed concerns over a viral video showing a uniformed officer holding laptops during protests in Nairobi's Central Business District on Tuesday.

In a statement, NPS confirmed that the officer was part of the security team managing the protests related to the murder of Albert Ojwang. The laptops in question were recovered from a suspect arrested during the unrest and are now held as evidence at Central Police Station.

“NPS clarifies that several shops were broken into, and four laptops were seized from one suspect,” said NPS Spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga.
