In February 2017, Prisca Chemutai Bett sued William Ruto, then Deputy President, claiming he had neglected their daughter, Abby Cherop Ruto, born in 2006.

Prisca said Ruto provided for her during her pregnancy but stopped supporting her and their child after he became Deputy President in 2013. Ruto, however, denies these claims, stating he's always taken care of his daughter.

Today, William Ruto has accused Rigathi Gachagua of impr€gnating a girl and even k!lling her. If you have just arrived from Mars, let me introduce you to the topic of the Russian man trending in Kenya and Ghana.

A Caucasian middle age male randomly picked women of African descent on the streets and took them to his small room where he had consensual $3 # with them.

What they did not know is that on his glasses, he had cameras. They did not consent to his filming every move with them from the pick up to the bedroom manenos.

Neither did they consent to his sharing those videos online. Those women have been greatly wronged. What's worse, a number of them are married so their unions may likely break.

Now you may ask yourself, how did they get here? The west is hyped as being very rich and Africa very poor. These women have been socialised to believe that having a Caucasian partner is a poverty eradication programme.

Again about marriage, many who went with this man and were married didn't seem to care about their marriages. I have no idea what this means but it looks like if the Caucasian had pressed further, they would have left their marriages. Left, just like that!

Something has to be done to let our people know that we are not as poor as portrayed!

One of the most selfless and courageous student leaders of our time was the late Evans Njoroge, popularly known as “Kidero.”

On 27 February 2018, Kidero , then the Secretary-General of the Meru University Students Association.mobilized fellow students to protest a proposed rise in school fees, a move that threatened the right to education by putting higher learning out of reach for many.

During the demonstration, heavily armed police pursued him. As he fled the scene, he was shot in the back of the head and died instantly.

The protest thereafter intensified, ultimately leading to the sacking of the VC, Prof. Magamboo. Tragically, it took the loss of a student’s life for such a ruthless leader to exit the institution.

SG Evans Njoroge will be remembered as a steadfast voice who tirelessly and selflessly stood against retrogressive leadership in our institutions.

Rest on, comrade! keep shining your way to glory.

Chapter 1: The Morning That Changed Everything

Mnamo Julai 26, 2015, asubuhi ilikuwa fresh, barabara ya Naivasha–Nairobi Highway ilikuwa imejaa mwanga laini wa jua. Mistari ya barabara ilionekana ikipaa hadi mbinguni, huku trees zikibebea ndoto za nature. Mercy Njeri na mumewe, Martin Mbugua, walikuwa kwenye Nissan March yao, wakicheka kidogo, wakipiga mazungumzo ya kawaida.

“Leo ni nzuri sana, eh?” Martin alisema, akisongesha kidogo wheel.
“Ndiyo, babe. Peace ya morning ni kitu k**a blessing,” Mercy akajibu kwa tone la smile.

Hawakujua kwamba dunia yao ingegeuzwa katika sekunde chache tu.

Kutoka pembe ya barabara, gari Range Rover liliingia kwa speed isiyo ya kawaida. Crash! Vroooom! Gari mbili ziligongana kwa nguvu, fremu zikapinda, milango ika bend, na life ya Mercy ikatia shut down. Mercy alifariki papo hapo. Martin alikimbizwa hospital, akijaribu kupumua wakati damu yake ilimchukua nguvu.

The first shower after birth isn’t about getting clean.

And for the first time since everything changed,
it’s just you… and the water.

It runs over a body that has been stretched, shaken, and transformed.

Washing away what the world doesn’t see
the fear you swallowed,
the strength you borrowed,
the moments you almost broke but didn’t.

★ In the early hours of Friday, July 1, 2016, a group of young university students left Nairobi full of excitement and anticipation. They were travelling to Magena in Kisii County to attend an “All-White Party” and a birthday celebration, dressed in crisp white outfits for the occasion.

– The group had taken photos together before setting out, smiles reflecting the joyful night ahead. The students hired a Toyota Noah van — a seven-seater — for the long journey southwest through the highlands of Kenya. On board were friends from different institutions, including several from Kenyatta University (KU), as well as students from Utalii College and Dedan Kimathi University.

★ Among them was Mercy Nyambeki, a 22-year-old fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce student at Kenyatta University, who would later survive the crash and recount what happened.

– As the evening progressed, the group reached the Kisii region and spent some time socializing at Mwembe Estate, a local stop just outside Kisii town. Witnesses later noted signs that the group had been relaxing there, enjoying music and conversation before they continued the final leg of their trip to the party venue.

– Shortly before midnight, as the journey neared its end along the Kisii-Kilgoris Highway, tragedy struck. The Toyota Noah, filled with friends and laughter, attempted to overtake another vehicle at high speed. In doing so, it collided head-on with an oncoming car. The first impact was violent enough to push the Noah directly into the path of a large lorry traveling in the opposite direction. The second collision crushed the van, tearing metal and lives apart.
