It has taken me a whole day to process this.

This is 12 years old Brigid. Brigid was a grade 7 pupil at Benson Njau Primary School in Kiambu.

Brigid was not participating in Saba Saba demos. She was not even interested in watching who was demonstrating where. After all her home area has never had Maandamano in the past. She had was just minding her business.

At about 6.40pm last evening, Brigid who is a first born child was seated in their sitting room together with her mother and little sibling. Their father was outside feeding their chicken.

Mama Brigid heard something make a loud sound like an explosion. It's at that time she spotted blood on Brigid's hand. She stretched her hands on this particular hand to check where the blood had come from.

It's at this point Brigid fell down. She had a huge hole in her head. Upon seeing this Mama Brigid screamed. It was so loud that Baba Brigid came running.

They rushed to a neighbour to help with his vehicle. Upon getting to hospital they were told she had a bullet stuck in her head. A few minutes later closed her eyes for good.

She was gone forever to a land of no return.

A stray bullet found her in a place she was comfortable like any child. A stray bullet from someone's parent. Someone seated somewhere right now happy with his day's actions. A place her parents thought would be the most comfortable and most safe.

But now Brigid is freezing in a morgue.

Her primary school was too shocked to recover. None of the learners made it to school today. Not even the teachers. The shock is still real. The pain is too much to bear.

Dear God ..... 😭 😢 😭

ANOTHER controversial Tweeter (X) blogger/ activist Ndiangui Kinyagia is missing. And the Law Society of Kenya is filing an application at the High Court to have police compelled to produce him.

Yesterday DCI officers went to his residence in Kinoo, Nairobi at around 2pm, broke into his house and carried away personal items.

They first held negotiations with his caretaker for hours before being allowed to break into his house at around 9pm.

Neighbours say the officers arrived in about 10 vehicles and camped at the house for 9 hours. They carried away two laptops, two phones, an old and current passport and a yellow fever card. They locked the house with their padlock after recording with the caretaker an inventory of the items taken.

Kinyagia 31, an IT expert was not present during the raid and the officers did not produce a court order allowing them to break into the house.

The mother says she last spoke to him on Saturday morning when his phone went off. All other calls to him have gone unanswered.

His other family members and friends say they have not heard from him since Saturday and his whereabouts are unknown.

The family reported the disappearance at Kinoo Police Station today morning and obtained an OB number. The officers at the station however indicated that they were not aware of such incidence as the DCI officers had not reported at the station before conducting the operation.

I later accompanied the family to the LSK offices where we held a meeting with the LSK president Faith and other officials and agreed to have the society move to court for further intervention. MACHAKoS DAILY REPORTs

This is a truly heartbreaking and tragic story.
Dr. Pratik Joshi, his wife Dr. Koni Vyas, and their three young children (eight-year-old daughter Miraya, and five-year-old twin boys Pradyut and Nakul) were indeed on Air India flight AI-171, which crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, India, on June 12, 2025.
The family was en route to London to begin a new life together. Dr. Pratik Joshi, a radiologist, had been working in London for some time, and his wife, Dr. Koni Vyas, a pathologist, had recently resigned from her job in India to join him with their children. They had even taken a joyful selfie on board the plane just moments before the crash.
The flight was bound for London Gatwick and tragically, almost all 242 people on board perished in the accident, which also affected a residential area in Ahmedabad. This incident has sent shockwaves across India and globally, given the devastating loss of life and the dreams cut short, like those of the Joshi family.

Smoke has been seen billowing from a residential area after the plane crashed seconds after takeoff.

66% of women who procured an abortion were not using any contraception at the time. 89% reported using one method, while 14% used between two and four methods.

7.8% of women are using harmful methods to labour,t including inserting something sharp in their private parts or drinking a caustic substance.
