We join the art world in mourning the passing of Koyo Kouoh, a visionary force in the art world.

As Executive Director and Chief Curator of Zeitz MOCAA, her bold leadership and unwavering commitment to centering African and diasporic narratives transformed contemporary art.

Her legacy will continue to inspire generations of artists, curators, and dreamers across the globe.

Rest in power, Koyo.

On this Mother’s Day, we at Zeda are celebrating all the ways motherhood shows up in its complexities, triumphs, sacrifices, and joys.

To the biological moms, to the stepmoms, to the adoptive moms, to the grandmas, to the single moms, to the bereaved moms, to the expectant moms, to the moms that had to take a different path, to the chosen moms, to those who want to be moms but can’t or aren’t yet, to those who’ve chosen not to have children but mother.

We celebrate you all!

Another wonderful book club meetup!

What It Means When A Man Falls from the Sky is a fantastic read. A major theme throughout the book is motherhood, especially fraught mother daughter relationships and we had a great conversation on this especially with this being Mothers' Month.

Looking forward to the next book and the next meetup.
