The statement by United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues that supports statement on financing directly the indigenous people, will definitely empower this people to invest on various plans, invest on their objectives and stand tall in fighting various crisis affecting them.

The State of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, Volume VI: Climate Crisis publication, focuses on the vital role of Indigenous Peoples in addressing the impacts of climate change.

Chapter 3 looks at the impact of climate change mitigation efforts on the lands, territories, environment, and resources of Indigenous Peoples.

This chapter also explores how Indigenous Peoples receive only a small portion of climate financing. Indigenous Peoples need direct access to climate funds to support their decision-making autonomy and to pursue their self-determined objectives.

We support it passionately, we will join the world to fight for the rights of Indigenous people.

Banditry has deeply wounded our communities—women, children, youth, and the elderly bear the scars.

It has disrupted education, fueled early marriages, broken families, and pushed many into poverty. In response, our organization is engaging in a search for indigenous knowledge to understand the roots of this crisis and identify homegrown solutions.

The Endorois community has been among the worst affected, facing displacement and rising cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) linked to this insecurity. We must unite, learn from the past, and walk together toward peace, dignity, and restoration for all those affected.

Young youth and women from the Endorois indigenous community are rising boldly to defend their land, address climate change, and advocate for education.

They are documenting their rich culture, engaging in governance, and driving economic empowerment for a better future. This is not just activism — it’s a voice of reason, resilience, and responsibility.

Our efforts reflect a new generation committed to protecting identity, heritage, and the rights of their people. A movement rooted in purpose and powered by unity.

The Ilchamus are an indigenous community living in Baringo, neighboring the Endorois. Both have endured years of insecurity and the pain of banditry.

We held a heartfelt conversation with Ilchamus women, who shared their untold stories of suffering—loss of loved ones, displacement, and the trauma of living in fear.

Climate change has also displaced many due to the rising waters of Lake Baringo. These resilient women need urgent support from organizations that champion Indigenous rights. Their voices matter, and their pain is real. Let us stand with them in restoring hope, dignity, and peace to their lives.

Banditry has inflicted deep pain and destruction on our communities— more so affected are Endorois Indigenous Women. Young women have been forced into early marriages, others displaced, killed, and stripped of everything they called their own. Their land, dignity, and basic human rights have been taken away, turning many into internally displaced persons (IDPs), far from the land of their ancestors. These women carry untold stories of sorrow, loss, and resilience. Today, we stand in solidarity with them, sharing in their cry and pain. Their voices must be heard. Their rights must be restored.

Access to clean and reliable water has been a major challenge for Sandai Secondary School, especially with the rising number of student admissions. The growing population has put immense pressure on the already limited water sources, making it difficult for students and staff to meet their daily water needs — from drinking and sanitation to general school activities.

In collaboration with the Forum for Women in Development, Democracy and Justice (FODDAJ), we delivered a 5,000-litre water tank to the school. This tank will play a vital role in addressing the water shortage, promoting better hygiene, and supporting a healthier learning environment for both students and the staff

Loboi Dispensary, which was once closer to the shores of Lake Bogoria, was forcefully relocated after water rose to unprecedented levels at the Lake. Now stationed further inland, the facility has become a critical health hub for hundreds, including those displaced from insecurity-prone areas. With this increased demand, the dispensary has been grappling with a severe shortage of clean water — a dire situation for both general treatment and maternity care, where water is essential for sanitation, safe deliveries, and postnatal care.

In response to this urgent need, in collaboration with Forum for Women in Development, Democracy and Justice (FODDAJ), we successfully delivered a 5000-litre water tank to the facility. This vital resource will go a long way in supporting life-saving services, especially for expectant mothers. Access to clean water ensures safer births, better hygiene during delivery, and improved recovery conditions for mothers and newborns.

We are proud to be part of a solution that upholds the dignity and health of our people — and we remain committed to amplifying their voices and addressing their most pressing needs.

Kaptelin ECDE, nestled within a lake Bogoria game reserve and home to young children from an evicted and uncompensated Endorois indigenous community, faces immense challenges—lack of clean water, no toilets, and a bushy, unsafe compound threatened by wild animals.

Yet, amidst these hardships, the children and their parents still carry hope for a better tomorrow. In collaboration with for women in democracy and Justice , we proudly delivered a water tank as a symbol of solidarity and support. As a team we are looking forward to more support for the school.

Kaptelin is a true reminder of Marginalized Minority indigenous communities—we must raise our voices and stand tall to fight for their rights and dignity.
