Yaballo Airport in southern Ethiopia has officially inaugurated today top federal and Oromia regional leaders, including President Shimelis Abdisa.

The new airport is expected to improve tourism and connectivity, access to Borana National Park, cutting long road journeys and driving tourism growth.

This development is part of Ethiopia’s broader aviation expansion strategy to enhance domestic travel and regional connectivity.

President William Ruto has nominated Amb. Galma Mukhe Boru as Kenya’s High Commissioner to Ethiopia in a fresh shake-up of the Foreign Service.
The changes, aimed at boosting performance under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, also see new envoys and redeployments to Turkey, Thailand, Burundi, Tanzania, Ireland, and other global missions.
