North Horr MP Hon. Wario Adhe has delivered a significant milestone for his constituency with the official launch of a new Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) training centre in Turbi, Marsabit County.

The project, realized through his relentless efforts, was inaugurated by KIHBT Director Arch. Geoffrey Githiri, alongside Marsabit Woman Representative Hon. Naomi Waqo Jillo and members of the local community.

The new campus is expected to greatly enhance access to technical and vocational education in the North Horr region, positioning Turbi as a hub for skills development and youth empowerment.

PS KELLO HARSAMA INSPECTS SOMARE DAM IN MOYALE TO BOOST WATER SECURITY

On Friday, Principal Secretary for ASALs and Regional Development, Kello Harsama, inspected the ongoing construction of the Somare Dam in Moyale, Marsabit County.

The KES 100 million project, being implemented through the Ewaso Ng’iro North Development Authority (ENNDA), will have a storage capacity of 160 million litres. It is expected to benefit over 5,000 households by providing a sustainable water source for domestic use, livestock, and irrigation.

PS Harsama said the project reflects the government’s commitment to addressing water scarcity and strengthening resilience in ASAL regions.
