In a room full of hope and courage, children spoke not just as students, but as experts of their own lives.
At the โWhat We See, What We Wantโ panel, led by Portia Wanjiru, they shared truths that adults often overlook: no culture, faith, or tradition should ever harm a child.
They spoke of schools and families as spaces where their voices must be heard, rooted in the reality of what they live every day. Shanon, a student from a rural school, spoke of violence against children, a stark reminder that protection cannot wait.
Their call was clear: adults and governments must keep promises, enforce laws, and create safe spaces where children are seen, heard, and valued.
Children are not just the future, they are here now, and they demand to be listened to.
