Siaya Senator and ODM party leader Oburu Oginga has been out of the public eye for some time, but has now been admitted to hospital. His doctors and the hospital management have imposed strict visitor restrictions.

Only his two spouses and children are permitted to visit him. Several MPs have reportedly been turned away after being told that the 83-year-old politician was not at the facility.

Seven people have died after a helicopter crashed at Mt. Ololokwe, Samburu County, at around 9:13 a.m. KCAA has confirmed the accident.
The victims are Josh Outran (pilot), Roger Duarte, Adam Navaty, Stephen Vasconquez, Henry Parra, Michael Contugi and Suian Suarez.

A man identified as Geoffrey Menge from Bochura died on the spot after attempting to hang onto a moving petrol tanker at Daraja Mbili in Kisii town, Kisii County.

His angry friends reportedly attempted to set the tanker ablaze following the incident, but security officers from Nyanchwa Police Station arrived at the scene and managed to move the tanker away.

Geoffrey’s body was retrieved from the scene and taken to the KTRH mortuary.
