It is unfortunate that at a time when Meru should be consolidating unity and showcasing its intellectual strength, the exercise of inviting citizens to Statehouse has been reduced to patronage and personal networks at the mercy of Florence kajuju and Interim governor only.
Reports indicate that Hon. Florence Kajuju, who currently serves as legal advisor in the Office of the Deputy President, has arrogated to herself the role of gatekeeper—handpicking her allies and friends from Meru while sidelining key leaders, opinion shapers, and grassroots voices to attend statehouse visiting tomorrow.
Even more disturbing are claims that academic qualifications, specifically degrees, are being commodified, with alleged payments demanded for inclusion in the Statehouse list.😂
Such conduct demeans the very essence of public service. Positions of privilege should be used to open doors, not to lock them. Statehouse is a national institution, not a private registry. If true, this episode will remain a blemish on Florence Kajuju’s career, already marked by a tenure at the Ombudsman’s office that left no tangible legacy for posterity.
