Carol Muriuki blasts Dawood over State Lodge, airstrip U-turn
North Imenti MP aspirant Carol Karimi Muriuki has criticised area MP Rahim Dawood over his reported change of position on the proposed State Lodge and airstrip projects in Meru.
Muriuki claims Dawood is attempting to “cleanse himself politically” after sensing that the political ground is becoming increasingly slippery ahead of the 2027 elections.
Dawood had previously backed the projects, although he later expressed reservations about locating the State Lodge inside Imenti Forest and suggested alternative sites for some of the developments.
