MASSIVE LOOTING of public funds by MCAs and the County Assembly leadership has been revealed:

⚠️ A payment of Ksh 9 Million made for a vehicle that was never delivered.

⚠️ The procurement of a Hansard System for the Assembly worth Ksh 80 million, which was never delivered or installed.

⚠️ Payments made to MCAs in the Budget Committee running into millions, purportedly for activities conducted outside Meru, while evidence suggests they were still operating within Meru.

⚠️ The above reveals a pattern of MCAs falsifying receipts to suggest work conducted outside the County in order to loot public funds.

⚠️ Car Grants for MCAs totaling Ksh 130 Million, which does not appear in the official financial records.

⚠️ Disbursement of Ksh 390 Million for loans using 72 title deeds and logbooks as collateral, without the consent of the rightful owners.

⚠️ Embezzlement of Ksh 14 Million from the ad hoc committee, a serious breach of trust and misuse of funds intended for specific purposes.

These revelations underscore the urgent need for a thorough investigation into financial practices by MCAs and other staff within the Meru County Assembly to ensure transparency, accountability and the proper utilization of public funds.
