If accountability feels like an attack, maturity still hasn’t arrived. Strong men do not tolerate nonsense

The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken(Warren Buffett).

I was listening to news one morning and one item that caught attention was about a leader who talked about unemployment being the reason why many youths were involved in bad vices. One of the youths interviewed confirmed this by saying that they were involved in these bad activities because there was nothing else to do.

Imagine if everyone who didn't get what they wanted behaved in this way. How would the world be like? Total confusion. Do you think your problems are any special such that you have to start bad vices if they are not addressed? Your problems are not any special. In fact there are a number of people with more problems but are doing better than you because they decided to believe in themselves and focused on whatever they had. It is all about the mindset. Not only are those bad vices hurting you, you are selling the world short of what you were created for. No matter what number of people encourage, no matter what resources you are given, you have to learn how to be there for yourself. You cant always expect others to life you while you take down yourself.

My question is, if you get addicted to those bad habits and then you are given a job, are you suddenly going to let go of that bad habit? Do you know it is destroying you and your future? That is a clear indication that you don't even know yourself, value yourself or love yourself. If you did, you wouldn't start destroying yourself because another person hasn't given you something. You don't gain value because you are given something, you were already born enough.

Benjamin Franklin said "If you were a servant, would you not be, ashamed that a good master should catch you idle? Are you then your own master? Be ashamed to catch yourself idle, when there is so much to be done for yourself, your family, your country, and your king."

To everyone who battled depression or dark thoughts this year—your presence matters. As the new year begins, we choose hope and help over silence.

Gentle reminder; While Christmas lights are glowing and carols fill the air, many people are quietly missing loved ones, worrying about money, battling depression or anxiety, or simply trying their best to hold themselves together through the season. Be kind 💜

An open letter to someone who feels alone and lonely:

Have you ever felt how easy it is to be there for others, but it feels empty when you need someone? You listen, you care, and you stay. You try to make connections and hope that at least one person will choose you too. Sadly, you somehow end up feeling unseen. You do not ask for much, you just wonder what it is like to have someone who cares for you the way you care for them.

You become the person people turn to when life gets overwhelming. You answer calls, reply to messages, and offer comfort, but when it is your turn to reach out, no one seems to be there. It hurts, isn’t it? Still, it does not mean you failed or that you are not enough. You cannot force people to choose you, no matter how kind or patient you are. Their choices reflect where they are in life, not who you are as a person.

So let me ask you, what if your life does not have to wait for someone else to show up? What if today, you choose yourself first? Showing up for yourself may feel strange at first, and there are days when it will still feel lonely, but every time you keep going, you remind yourself that you matter. One day, you will look back and realize how strong and dedicated you were, even when no one noticed. That worth has always been within you. So, I hope you choose to keep going and keep showing up, because the person who stays in your life when everyone else leaves is you.

Depression and anxiety are not bad moods, weak mindsets, or a lack of gratitude. They are real mental health conditions that affect the brain, the body, and the way a person experiences the world.

Sometimes the hardest things to let go of aren’t the ones that hurt the most, but the ones that feel familiar. We stay because it’s comfortable, because it’s what we know, because walking away would mean admitting that we allowed ourselves to be treated in ways that slowly chipped away at who we are. But every time you silence your truth, tolerate disrespect, or betray your own boundaries just to keep the peace, you pay a price that isn’t visible right away. It shows up later—in the way you doubt yourself, in the heaviness you carry, in the quiet resentment that grows when you realize you’ve been choosing comfort over dignity.

Self-respect isn’t loud, and it doesn’t beg to be noticed, but it is the foundation of everything you deserve. The moment something asks you to abandon it, that moment reveals its true cost. No amount of history, attachment, or temporary comfort is worth losing your sense of self. What you give up to stay can be far more painful than what you risk by leaving. And sometimes, choosing yourself isn’t about being brave it’s about refusing to keep paying for something that was never truly good for you in the first place.

If it's not yours, don't take it. If it's not right, don't do it. If it's not true, don't say it. If you don't know, be quiet.

Hardest pill I’ve had to swallow this year so far was learning that no matter how good you can be to someone, no matter how long you've been there for them, no matter how much you love them.. that they CAN & they WILL turn their back on you and there’s nothing you can do but detach.
