THE MERU WHATSAPP GROUPS COUP!!! A TALE OF DIGITAL SABOTAGE & SELECTIVE SILENCE.
It has come to the collective bewilderment of the enlightened citizens of Meru’s cyber republic that there’s a grand orchestration an invisible hand, if you may to systematically excommunicate all pro-government crusaders from major Meru WhatsApp forums. The architects of this silent coup are none other than the Wamunyoro sympathizers, a cabal of politically intoxicated keyboard mercenaries seemingly on some clandestine payroll.
Leading this cyber inquisition is one Dauti Kinoti, a self proclaimed digital messiah whose past reads like a tragicomedy while vising wamunyoro weekly for returns for excommunication of government bloggers from the active groups.
This same Kinoti once went around rattling the political begging tin, convincing unsuspecting leaders & villagers to support his trip to the United States, only to cash in the loot and remain firmly grounded in Kenya continuing his con artistry under the noble banner of MERU PROGRESSIVE.
Ironically, this self anointed custodian of public morality has turned the said WhatsApp forum into a political slaughterhouse, his source of income, where truth is lynched daily, and any voice speaking in favour of government initiatives or the Deputy President, Prof. Kithure Kindiki, is summarily executed in digital daylight.
What’s even more comical if not nauseating is that one of Kindiki’s principal handlers, Man gidii, sits quietly in the same group like a mute witness at his own trial. He watches as pro-government patriots are heckled, humiliated, and purged, all in the name of freedom of expression, yet he never says a word when other officials struggle to defend the government and fight the propaganda peddled by opposition. Funny enough man Gidi defenders are all one term defenders. One wonders how he has not convinced at least a few of his diehards to support the TUTAM agenda & whether loyalty to his own political interests now supersedes duty to the very office that clothes him.
It’s now official the government’s online soldiers, the TUTAM and RUTO–KINDIKI digital vanguards, are under siege. Their ideas censored, their patriotism mocked, their morale assassinated all while those entrusted to defend the Deputy President’s image choose the safer route of strategic cowardice.
Perhaps, it’s time we asked the hard questions whether some of these so called government operatives genuinely working for the system, or are they double agents moonlighting for political convenience? Because when you see a man watch his comrades being devoured and he claps softly, you begin to suspect he sold the knife.
