Let's talk about some fears that may come up when thinking of starting your business .

*Fear of Failure. What if it all goes south? what will 'they' say about me if I fail?

• Counter Argument: Many successful entrepreneurs faced setbacks before achieving success. Failure is often a part of the learning process and can lead to valuable lessons that contribute to eventual success. For example, Vera Wang started her bridal design business at 40 after a career change from figure skating, and she is now a renowned name in the fashion industry.
Don't let fear hold you back. Better to start and learn from the experience, you'll be better for it as you grow along the journey.

One day to go!!

"You've got something inside of you.' Adele's right. We all have something inside of us that is uniquely programmed to our personality. That's what draws people to us , that's what makes us unique. That is something you can bring into your business when you start out and always.

When I started my business online, I was so scared of many things and that they would go wrong... especially the tech, because that was my weak point. The fears were many and deep seated😅What if I pressed a wrong button, what if I deleted stuff forever (by the way this has happened so many times in life😅, I've often come back with a better thing) What if people thought I was crazy for doing this thing? What was I doing anyway?

But... I soldiered on, put my own spin into some things and like I said before, I knew what I didn't want.Whatever I applied myself to needed to align with my spirit.

I also couldn't find older, mature women like me at the time who communicated on their journey in a way I could relate-on many aspects. So I decided to take a step forward and be a resource for others who were also on the same 'bewildering journey. In part because I got the question from my peers of' how do you do it'

It's one day to go to the launch and so excited to take you along on this first step. Within the 3 days we will cover:
✅The basics of setting up an Instagram page.
✅Tips and strategies for content creation.
✅Managing your business page, optimizing it for sales.
Amongst many other things

Happy Monday!
I hope you had a good weekend?We had a good time at the Naivasha market and so glad we were able to attend it.

Our hearts go out to those affected by the flooding and more recently the Kijabe Dam burst. I had a neighbor at the Naivasha Market who came from Kijabe and we were duscussing alot about the challenges brought on by the heavy rains. She told me Saturday, was the 11th anniversary of a major landslide that happened in Kijabe and now this dam burst happening is just so tragic😢.

Anyone else embracing this new 'role'? It's wild to me that I know something that my community comprised of much younger, in-touch, tech lovers didn't know or were not comfortable to use😅.

Let me expound..

✨But first, like share or save this post for later.

I'm very happy to share my 'new skills' with them and enjoy the exchange of ideas that comes with it. In this instance, the 'skill' was creating a poster on Canva for an evening of telescope watching.

Here's something else that comes with this, especially as an older person navigating this space...
I realised my insights into how I'd process or consume the content they were trying to create, were uniquely different because of my experiences, age. Sometimes this may not help much, especially where the content will be shared to others of a different demographic, but even then, my insights created moment for pause and thinking about how the audience would consume it. They couldn't have known that because most of them are younger than me, or if they were older, didn't know how to work around the issues.

🥂Here's to sharing what we know, owning it and lifting teaching other along the way. 'A rising tide lifts all boats'
