*LET'S COOK DINNER
Rice , beef stew , beans and fresh salad*
π₯© Beef
*Ingredients* π
- 500g beef cubes π₯©
- 1 onion, chopped π§
- 2 garlic cloves, minced π§
- 1 bell pepper, sliced πΆοΈ
- 1 tsp ginger, grated π«
- 2 tbsp tomato paste π
- 2 cups beef broth π²
- 1 tsp thyme πΏ
- Salt & pepper βοΈ
- 2 tbsp cooking oil π’οΈ
*Method* π¨βπ³
1. Season beef with salt, pepper & thyme. Heat oil in a pot, brown the beef 5β7 min π₯.
2. Add onion, garlic, ginger & pepper. SautΓ© 3 min π³.
3. Mix in tomato paste, then pour broth. Cover & simmer 45β60 min till meatβs tender β³.
4. Taste & adjust seasoning. Serve hot! π
π Rice
*Ingredients* π
- 2 cups white rice πΎ
- 4 cups water or broth π§
- 1 tsp salt βοΈ
*Method* π¨βπ³
1. Rinse rice till water clears π§Ό.
2. Add rice, water & salt to a pot. Bring to boil π₯.
3. Lower heat, cover & steam 18 min π¦.
4. Fluff with fork & serve fluffy rice π.
π² Beans in sauce
*Ingredients* π
- 2 cups cooked beans (or canned) π«
- 1 cup tomato sauce π
- 1 onion, chopped π§
- 2 garlic cloves, minced π§
- 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp paprika πΆοΈ
- Salt to taste βοΈ
- 1 tbsp oil π’οΈ
*Method* π¨βπ³
1. Heat oil, sautΓ© onion & garlic 2 min π³.
2. Add tomato sauce, cumin & paprika. Mix well π.
3. Stir in beans, simmer 10 min β°.
4. Season with salt & serve saucy beans π.
π₯ Fresh Salad
*Ingredients* π
- Mixed lettuce leaves π₯¬
- 1 cucumber, sliced π₯
- 1 tomato, diced π
- Β½ cup corn kernels π½
- 1 avocado, sliced π₯
- 2 tbsp olive oil π’οΈ
- 1 tbsp lemon juice π
- Salt & pepper βοΈ
*Method* π¨βπ³
1. Chop lettuce, cucumber & tomato. Toss with corn πͺ.
2. Mix oil, lemon juice, salt & pepper for dressing πΆ.
3. Pour dressing over salad, top with avocado slices π₯.
4. Serve fresh & crunchy π.
