The event brought together stakeholders from the media sector, civil society, and the county government to reaffirm our shared commitment to transparency and the right to information. This year’s theme is ‘Ensuring Access to Environmental Information in the Digital Age'.

Training Wrap-Up: Empowering Digital Rights and Safety

We have successfully concluded our two-day Digital Rights and Safety Training. It has been an enriching experience, with participants gaining valuable insights from experts at Paradigm Initiative and Defenders Coalition.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Paradigm Initiative for their unwavering support in facilitating this training. Their commitment to promoting digital rights and inclusion across Africa has been instrumental in enhancing our members' understanding of online safety and digital advocacy.

Our members are now better equipped to navigate the digital landscape, advocate for human rights, and protect themselves and their communities online. We look forward to applying these learnings in our ongoing efforts to promote digital safety and rights.

Today, we had a productive engagement with representatives from Baraza Media Lab's Nairobi and Mombasa offices.

Our discussions focused on exploring collaborative opportunities in training journalists on intellectual property rights and enhancing their access to financial resources.

This partnership aims to empower members by equipping them with essential knowledge and tools to navigate the evolving media landscape effectively
