Dear Hon. Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing with respect to your recent statement regarding the financial support extended to the artist Risto BSB for his career. While it is commendable to see your office taking an interest in supporting local talent, it is important to clarify the facts surrounding such claims.
Unfortunately, Risto BSB has come forward to state that he has not received any financial assistance from your office, despite public assertions to the contrary. Such a discrepancy not only misrepresents the reality of his situation but may also diminish the trust the public has in your commitment to the creative arts and youth empowerment.
As a respected leader of this great county, ensuring transparency and accountability in all engagements is paramount. If there has been a misunderstanding or miscommunication regarding this matter, I kindly urge your office to address it publicly. A clear and honest response will go a long way in demonstrating your commitment to supporting Mombasa’s artists authentically.
We hope that Risto BSB and other talented artists in Mombasa will receive genuine support to propel their careers and showcase the rich cultural heritage of our county to the world.
