Djibouti's foreign affairs minister Mohamoud Ali Youssouf has Won the African Union Commission chairmanship elections, defeating Kenyan's ex prime minister Raila Odinga and Madagascar's candidate Richard James Randiamandrato.

Activities Bob Njagi: I was in Nairobi on that day, 19/08/2024, following a phone call by Jimmy Wanjingi who was being held in Kamakunji Police Station. The whole day phone was off because I was aware of Longton's abduction. I switched it on at about 9pm, which was when they (the abductors) were able to truck my phone...When they got me inside the car, they did a lot of torturing, my face was punched up, I was water-bordered in the car. We were not given any food, Just a bottle of water once a day.
