I made a very stupid mistake at the end of my first year that led to my discontinuation from the top university in KENYA.

I decided to appeal against my discontinuation. One would say I was emotionally attached to this university and couldn't move on. The financial situation at home also contributed.

I appeared before the Appeals Committee but it upheld my discontinuation.

Now I could see my dreams get shattered before my eyes...

In Africa, Somalia and Senegal have already banned the TikTok app from their countries whereas Egypt, Uganda and other countries are still working on the crackdown.

Canada, Denmark, Belgium, India, Taiwan, USA and several others have also taken similar moves to ban TikTok or restrict its usage in their territories.

Russian military trainers have arrived to reinforce Niger’s air defenses as the west African country pulls away from close cooperation with the US in counterterrorism efforts, turning instead to Moscow for help as it fights Islamist insurgents.

State television in the country broadcast footage of Russian military trainers arriving in the country aboard a plane equipped with military supplies late on Thursday. Two Russian trainers were filmed in front of the plane wearing military uniforms, caps and face coverings.
