In Africa, Somalia and Senegal have already banned the TikTok app from their countries whereas Egypt, Uganda and other countries are still working on the crackdown.

Canada, Denmark, Belgium, India, Taiwan, USA and several others have also taken similar moves to ban TikTok or restrict its usage in their territories.

State television in the country broadcast footage of Russian military trainers arriving in the country aboard a plane equipped with military supplies late on Thursday. Two Russian trainers were filmed in front of the plane wearing military uniforms, caps and face coverings.

Users report that a notification to "upgrade" the app keeps appearing on screen, and does not resolve even after updating.

At the time of reporting, Meta, the parent company that owns Facebook is yet to release a statement regarding the application glitch.

The message notification on the app reads:

"You are using an unsupported version of Facebook lite. Update to the latest version"

SAD NEWS: Mzee Jackson Kibor popularly known as "Men's Conference Chairman" is dead!

Kibor, a prominent political-cum-business figure who rose from humble beginnings died yesterday at St.Luke's hospital in Eldoret.

Prior to his death, Mzee Jackson Kibor had been living on medical oxygen since October 2020 after he contracted COVID-19.

Mzee shall be remembered as a man who influenced many through both his business and lifestyle.
