This weekend DP William Ruto was in Laikipia County where he addressed members of public at Nyahururu and Nanyuki Town. At Saturday morning Ruto had attended an economy forum in neighboring county Nyandarua.
As it was expected, there was a show down between UDA and Mwangi Kiunjuri's TSP supporters. In Nyahururu, sitting Senator John Kinyua who is the UDA flag bearer for August election was heckled by TSP supporters. There has been bad blood between Senator Kinyua and former CS Mwangi Kiunjuri.
In Nanyuki tension was high since the supporters of Laikipia East MP who is defending his seat with UDA had collided with Mwangi Kiunjuri's supporters before DP arrived. Mwangi Kiunjuri is vying for the same using his party TSP. Both leaders were heckled as they addressed the rallies at Nanyuki.
Dailyke noticed smooth ground for UDA Governor aspirant Joshua Irungu in Nanyuki and Nyahururu. The former governor is set roar back to his seat as he enjoys massive support in the county. His close rival is incumbent Governor Nderitu Mureithi who is vying with Jubilee party. Jubilee and Azimio coalition are very unpopular in the county therefore complicating Mureithi's reelection mathematics. To Irungu's advantage, no other KENYA KWANZA affiliate parties has featured a candidate for the governor seat.

Nyeri woman sends KSh 2,000 to the wrong number.
Shiela Wandui's mother was sending money to a gardener via M-Pesa but keyed in the wrong number.

The recipient was willing to send back the money and requested Wandui's mum to help him with KSh 400 to buy food for his family.

"For his honesty, mum told him to keep the full amount," Wandui said.

Stephen Kamau, a youth from Nyandarua county has decided to change his life by surrendering 20,000 rolls of bhang to a church in Kinangop.

Speaking to the congregation, he revealed that he made a living by selling the rolls at ksh 50 each, a business he was conducting with seven of his colleagues.

“Today I return 20,000 rolls of bhang. I used to sell one roll at Sh50. It all comes to Sh1 million. I don’t care about the loss I have suffered by surrendering the bhang I used to work with a team of seven, selling bhang across, but we have all decided to stop, and start afresh, I know God will come along for us.”

Hundreds of parents have celebrated the news saying alot of young people in the area have been smoking and selling bhang abandoning responsible living.

The bhang was then submitted to the Nyandarua police station – before it was burned in public at the Engineer stadium as proof that the young men had changed their ways, and abandoned the business.

FORMER LAIKIPIA EAST MP ON STATE OF OUR LAIKIPIA HEALTH FACILITIES

First things first, ever since Ndiritu Muriithi's regime took over in 2017, all our hospitals in every corner of Laikipia went down to their knees: No drugs/medicines, no medical specialists just to mention but a few tragedies.

Impunity and corruption, nepotism and arrogance have turned our hospitals that are meant to offer medical services and treatment to be ex*****on gallows and death beds.

The sacking of consultants and medical specialists by Ndiritu Muriithi has left our hospitals under the operation of medical interns and non-experienced personnel who have constantly been threatened to be fired if they speak up about the malpractices in the day to day operations of our health facilities.

Those who initially supported Muriithi are now regaining consciousness as reality is sinking in. Even politicians who initially sat pretty in hotels and sung his name have been on the ground and came face to face with reality. He has as well advised Laikipians to make a wise decision at the ballot that will see to it that our health department is streamlined to offer services once again to our people.
