WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY

Today, we celebrate the photographers who see what others overlook, tell stories that deserve to be heard, and preserve the beauty, struggles, resilience, and dreams of our communities.

From the streets of our cities to the heart of our villages, every frame carries a story.

To every photographer from a marginalised community using their lens to document, inspire, and create change: we see you. We celebrate you.

Keep capturing. Keep telling. Keep redefining Africa.

Happy World Photography Day!

International Youth Day!

Today, we celebrate the dreamers, creators, innovators, and changemakers who refuse to accept the world as it is and instead imagine what it can become.

At Kgill+ Media Hub, we believe that every young person has a story worth telling. Through film, digital storytelling, and creative expression, we’re committed to amplifying African voices, nurturing talent, and empowering the next generation to shape the future.

To every young creative: Your ideas matter. Your voice matters. Your story matters.

Happy International Youth Day!

Stories have the power to change communities—and that’s exactly what Sinema Mtaani is all about.

Through community filmmaking, we’re equipping young creatives with the skills, confidence, and platform to tell authentic African stories that educate, inspire, and challenge stereotypes.

Every screening sparks conversations. Every film creates impact. Every storyteller shapes the future.

This is more than cinema—it’s a movement for change.

Thank You, Embu!

Our hearts are full of gratitude after being part of the inaugural Embu International Film & Creative Arts Festival.

Thank you to the organizers for creating a platform that celebrates filmmakers, artists, and storytellers from across Kenya and beyond. It was an absolute privilege for Kgill+ Media to facilitate the Sinema Mtaani masterclass, “Small Resources, Big Stories: Community Filmmaking for Impact.”

To everyone who attended the screening, engaged in the discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and shared your own experiences—thank you. Your passion for authentic storytelling reminds us why we do what we do.

We leave Embu inspired by the incredible talent, creativity, and commitment to telling stories that matter. We believe that when communities are empowered to tell their own stories, they don’t just entertain—they educate, inspire, and drive meaningful change.

Thank you, Embu International Film & Creative Arts Festival, for the warm hospitality and for believing in the power of community filmmaking. This is only the beginning, and we look forward to future collaborations.

Until next time, let’s keep telling stories that transform lives.

We’re Heading to Embu!

Kgill+ Media is honored to be part of the inaugural Embu International Film & Creative Arts Festival 2026.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we explore how powerful stories can be created with limited resources and unlimited creativity.

📅 Monday, 27th July 2026
🕑 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

🎥 Session: Small Resources, Big Stories: Community Filmmaking for Impact

The session will feature:
✨ A screening of our work
🎙️ A masterclass on community filmmaking
💬 An interactive Q&A on art diversity, community storytelling, and creating meaningful films using the resources available.

At Kgill+ Media, we believe that every community has stories worth telling. You don’t need a million-dollar budget to create impact—you need purpose, creativity, and the courage to tell authentic stories.

If you’re a filmmaker, storyteller, creative, student, or simply passionate about the power of film, we’d love to see you there.

Let’s celebrate African stories, amplify community voices, and prove that small resources can create big stories.
