Nowadays upcoming artists are complaining that they are stuck in the same place because they don't have music managers, but upcoming musicians don't know the difference between manager and sponsor
There is a difference between *Manager and Sponsor* don't be confused, you'll be disappointed.
*While project managers identify and prioritize stakeholders, sponsors can advise on which stakeholders to prioritize based on their influence over the project. They establish communication channels to manage stakeholders and ensure they are updated on time to avoid clashes.* So not every musician needs a manager, but a successful artist needs management! What I mean is that not every manager has *money* but all *sponsors* have money. So anyone can be a manager, that's why you see some musicians are struggling na wako na manager. Again there's a difference between *manager* and *good manager* So usiseme unataka manager na hujui kazi yake. A good manager should have a plan in how to sell your music, help you monetize your music , look for collaborations, keep your brand clean, bookings, business negotiation and making you're growing constantly. While a sponsor's work is to give out money where necessary, for example paying for collaboration and paying for media tours. Keep in mind that sponsor lazima apate faida kutoka kwako ndo akulipe coz he is doing investment kwako, lakini manager wewe ndo unafaa kumlipa so that he can manage your music,so k**a huna pesa ya kumlipa ama business what are you expecting him to manage? Lastly, huwezi pata manager mazuri ama sponsor k**a hujahit, remember you're the business k**a unasubiri manager na huna hit song ama good music utangoja sana. Work 70% ndo upate sponsor aongeze 30%,inshort anzisha manager amalizie but si yeye akuanzishie. So before useme *I need a manager* ,ask yourself do you have something worthy to trade in with ! If no,there's nothing to manage. Build your Brand, kuwa na vision na mission the rest will come into you.
