Ogamba, who addressed the press on Friday, May 29, said the two teachers were informed about the plans by Form 3 students but failed to take any action to stop the plans. The fire broke out at around 3:30 am on Thursday, May 28, killing 16 students and leaving 79 others with injuries
Ogamba said appropriate action will be taken against the said teachers once investigations are completed. "Two teachers were informed about the unrest by some From 3 students. However, they did not take appropriate action before the arson despite having been informed of this incident beforehand," said the CS.
The school principal is among teachers who would face disciplinary action for failing to ensure compliance with the school safety protocol manual.

A surviving student who had been trapped inside one of the cubicles witnessed the incident and later helped identify the suspects.
