I have been told that I command presence when I enter a room and I guess I know that I do. But it's funny because I'm also told I either scare the hell out of people or calm people. Both of those people can be in the same room.

As with anything, what people SAY to you, may or may not be an accurate representation of the facts.” KNOW YOURSELF”. Someone might SAY that you have a commanding presence, from their perspective at least, but it could also be true that to others, you have a self-centered oblivious sense of entitlement about you when you enter a room.

It's not just about speaking loudly, but about having a confident posture, good eye contact, and a commanding demeanor.
Leadership qualities:
Someone who can "command a room" is often seen as a leader who can easily direct the conversation and influence others.
