The legendary William "Chege" Ouma a brother to Paul Odhiambo, another great Sportsman who even served as an official of Kenya Amateur Athletics Association and father to one of the country's greatest sprinters of all time Joyce Odhiambo.

Ouma Chege was the reigning harambee Stars all-time top scorer with 35 goals, one goal ahead of Dennis Oliech and Michael Olunga who are level at 34 goals. Ouma Chege played for the national football team for 12 years but retired a sad person since he had nothing to show for his effort for the country other than his big name.

In an interview with the Standard in 1989 Ouma is quoted as; "I have only a medal to show although I played for the national team for 12 years without a break. I won the medal in 1976 when I was voted the Footballer of the Year '75.”

Ouma played for Gor Mahia until 1974 when he joined Luo Union Football Club (Later renamed Reunion FC). He later rejoined Gor Mahia in 1978 and played his last international match in Lilongwe in 1980 where Gor Mahia played their preliminary matches.
Here are the goals he scored for Clubs (League goals only)
Luo Union - 86 goals
Gor Mahia - 29 goals
Kisumu Hotstars - 11 goals

In 1968 Ouma was handed a nine-months jail sentence by a magistrate for attacking two other football players with meat cleaver following a fight over a girl. Additional information from Kenya Football Archives blog and The Standard in 1989.

A reflective thought inspired by swimming, which I believe resonates deeply with the way we approach learning and growth.

Reading about swimming will never teach you how to stay afloat; the real knowledge comes from getting in the water and practicing. Similarly, in life, understanding alone is not enough—true growth occurs when we take action.

I’ve often found myself caught in the cycle of preparation, reading, and planning, thinking that knowledge alone would suffice. However, it was only when I finally stepped into the water, feeling the resistance and learning to navigate the waves, that I truly began to learn.

The lesson is clear: You don’t learn to swim by merely studying the surface; instead, you Immerse yourself in the depths, embrace the currents, and push forward despite the challenges. True growth happens in the doing, not just in the knowing.

So, let’s remind ourselves to take that plunge and put our insights into practice. It’s only through action that we can fully realize our potential and achieve our goals.

A thoughtful reflection on the nature of gold.
Gold is remarkable in that it does not change the surface it touches. It remains unyielding and pure, never staining or reshaping, and it imposes no will upon its surroundings. Instead, it rests upon all things with quiet dignity, casting its radiant glow without demanding transformation.

In its presence, the ordinary can seem extraordinary, not because gold alters the world around it, but because we recognize its inherent beauty. Gold serves as a powerful reminder that true value does not lie in dominance, but rather in authentic presence.

Wishing you a wonderful day filled with inspiration.

Until lions tell their side of the story the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter"
The background here is that, often when hunters return from hunting, they would tell great stories to emphasize their achievements and hunting skills.

Imagine a hunter brings home a dead lion and tells of how he had killed it through his great skill and bravery, earning him a lot of respect and praise. But that lion could well have died through some accident or sickness.

The lesson conveyed by this proverb is that a story is never complete until we hear from all sides. The one who does not have a voice or who does not have the means to publish their side of the story, is often treated as loser.

Army General took his men to the enemy's territory. To the amazement of his troops, he told them to shoot and burn the boats they had used in crossing over to the enemy's territory. He told them that they had (2) two alternatives or options: They either DEFEAT THE ENEMY or be wiped out.
What happened next you can translate to your life - Burning the bridge.

Dear Beloved Members,
As we gather to celebrate this joyous season, let us reflect on the profound significance of Christ’s birth. Born in the first century, He transcends all time and belongs to every generation. Coming into this world as a Jew, He embraces all races and cultures. Though His birthplace was Bethlehem, His message encompasses the entire world.

The Star of Bethlehem symbolizes the hope that guided the wise men to fulfill their desires and ultimately find success on their journey. Hope is fundamental to our lives, and this star (Jesus Christ of Nazareth) leads us to our true source of hope.

Every prophet pales in comparison to Him. One day, every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. His name reigns supreme, as King of Kings and the Lion of Judah.

Regardless of our circumstances, we can trust that He will return, gathering His faithful followers on the last day of rapture to the place He has prepared for us. We invite you to reflect on this promise and ask yourself: Will you be among them?

Wishing you all a season filled with hope, joy, and peace.

This woman sitting right here was cought stealing banana in somebody's farm! When people gathered Together over her, they asked her why stealing ordinary unripe banana and she answered. I'm doing this just to feed my kids we don't have any means to survive!!!

Crimes committed out of necessity, such as stealing food during famine or engaging in survival-based deception, are often viewed as understandable, or at least more forgivable, within the moral framework of compassion and empathy. These acts are born from desperation, a response to circumstances beyond personal control, and are often judged with leniency because they stem from the instinct to survive rather than a desire to exploit others.

For example, a starving individual who steals bread is acting out of a fundamental human imperative self-preservation. Such actions, while illegal, may evoke sympathy and understanding because they highlight systemic failures or social inequalities.

They do not necessarily reflect a character flaw but rather a tragic response to dire circumstances.
