MBAGATHI HOSPITAL SPEAKS
According to CCTV footage presented by Mbagathi Hospital, the police vehicle arrived at the facility at exactly 1:36 AM. Inside were three police officers, all seated at the front of the vehicle. This means Albert Ojwang, who was supposedly still alive at the time, was alone in the back seat.
The police claimed they were rushing Albert to the hospital due to injuries. But their actions tell a different story.
Upon arrival, they didnโt act with urgency. They stepped out of the vehicle, stood outside making phone calls, and walked slowly into the hospital to speak with the nursesโleaving Albert in the car, unattended and injured.
It wasn't until 1:46 AMโa full 10 minutes laterโthat they returned with a stretcher.
By 1:58 AM, Albert was finally removed from the vehicle and wheeled into the emergency ward.
Just 10 minutes after that, his lifeless body was wheeled out.
Hospital staff reportedly said he had severe injuries and his body was already cold when he arrived. Some even said he was likely already dead by the time he was brought in.
So hereโs the painful question:
If Albert was being โrushedโ to the hospital from the police station, why was he left alone in the back seat?
Why didnโt the officers act fast upon arrival? Why waste 15 critical minutes before even removing him from the car?
Why were they wearing gloves to pull him out of the vehicle, as if they already knew he wasn't going to survive?
The only logical conclusion? Albert died while in police custody.
And the hospital visit was never a rescueโit was a formality.
They knew.
They knew he wasnโt going to be treated.
They knew he was already gone.
May Albert Ojwang receive justice, even in death.
We will not be silent.
