A story is told of a pregnant deer, a hunter and a lion. When the time came, the deer decided to go and give birth in a safe place near a river. Before then, she developed a desire to drink some water.
Suddenly, fire broke out in the east side of the forest. Raising her head to have a glimpse of the situation, she saw a hunter just beneath the river ready to take her life. Set to save herself by trying luck to the west, she saw a ferocious lion ready to harm her.
The river is deep and full of crocodiles. Besides, she is in labor pains. Death had paid a visit.
"Why can't I die honourably?" She said.
The deer 🦌 decided to continue drinking water as she awaits her death. Suddenly, lightening struck as the hunter was about to release the arrow thus confusing him and he missed the target and hit the lion 🦁 which run after him.
After drinking water, she found out that there was neither a hunter nor the lion. She went to a safe place and have birth to three fawns.
Moral from the story:
There are times in our lives when we are surrounded by difficulties from all sides. We should not lose courage and hope in such times.
