Developing Story; Moses Kuria has resigned as senior economic advisor to the president. Moses says he has made the decision to pursue personal interests.
Through a message shared on his X account, Kuria says he has met President William Samoei Ruto who has accepted his resignation.
Kuria has thanked President Ruto for having given him an opportunity to serve as Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry for 11 months, Public Service, Delivery and Performance Management for 9 months and Senior Ecomomic Advisor for the last 10 months. Kuria has expressed his pride of the work the President and himself did to implement the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda which he says he designed together with the President as the 2022 Electoral Platform.

📢 NATIONAL POLICE SERVICE PRESS RELEASE – JULY 6, 2025

Through their social media platforms, the NPS has issued a strong statement ahead of the planned Saba Saba protests scheduled for tomorrow, July 7, 2025 in various parts of the country. The National Police Service has reminded Kenyans that:

🔹 Right to protest is acknowledged — but only if peaceful, unarmed, and within the law.
🔹 Violence, looting, vandalism, or roadblocks will not be tolerated and will face firm action.
🔹 Accessing protected government areas or provoking police officers on duty is a criminal offense.
🔹 Public is urged to remain calm, law-abiding, and respectful of security operations.

For emergencies or suspicious activity, citizens are encouraged to call 999, 911, 112 or 0800722203. All reports will be handled confidentially.

🛑 Let’s maintain peace and order while upholding our constitutional rights.
