Moustapha Diatta, Ousmane's faithful friend.
They met in Évreux, two inseparable kids who spent their days kicking a ball around. Very quickly, their bond became a brotherhood.
When Ousmane left Normandy to join Rennes, then Dortmund and Barcelona, Moustapha was never far away. He put his own career aside to follow him, accompany him, and remind him where he came from.
In times of doubt, injury, or loneliness, he was that brother in the shadows, always present, always faithful. He even lives with him.
This extraordinary friendship has even been highlighted by Adidas. Recently, the three-stripe brand launched the "You Got This" campaign, which showcases the Dembélé-Diatta duo in their hometown.
Today, they arrived at the ceremony together, and like the rest of the family, he was in the photo with Maman Dembelé.
And when Ousmane held up the Ballon d'Or, he didn't forget to pay tribute to it. In the audience, Moustapha cried, tears of pride and gratitude, those of a friend who shared the journey from his first dribble to the top of world football.
