Pauline Wangari Ngoi, 24, a prison warder at Murang'a GK Prison, was found de*d in her house in Kiharu Estate after missing work for two days. Colleagues forced open her door and discovered her decomposing body, with investigators concluding that she had been strangl*d and st*bbed.

Police arrested Joseph Otieno Ochieng, 23, a Nairobi-based mechanic who had met Pauline through Facebook. CCTV footage placed him at the scene, and investigators say he later staged the murder to look like a su***de before stealing several items. He was arrested in Kericho County, confessed to the crime, and was charged with m*rder. Bail was denied.

Police officers in Webuye West have intercepted a motorcycle along the Bukembe–Malaba highway.

The rider was reportedly transporting a large load of Napier grass when he was intercepted at Dina Flyover.

A search allegedly uncovered 288 bundles of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa, concealed in the grass.

The suspect remains in custody pending arraignment, while the recovered items have been secured as exhibits.

The NPS commended the officers for the swift and successful operation.
