The previous day Junet Mohammed publicly confirmed what I have been saying all along.

According to Junet, some leaders, including Edwin Watenya Sifuna received money as a br!be to support the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua.

Junet even questioned why Edwin W. Sifuna is now seeking public sympathy by showcasing his ordinary home, arguing that he should have used it to build a better house instead.

Can a leader accused by his own political ally of taking money to influence such a consequential decision be trusted with the presidency?

And does anyone seriously believe H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH would support the presidential ambitions of someone accused of participating in his impeachment?

Former Migori Governor Okoth Obado Set for today September 16, 2026 Sentencing Over 2018 Murder of Sharon Otieno.

Former Migori County Governor Zachary Okoth Obado will be sentenced on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, for aiding and abetting the gruesome September 2018 murder of 26-year-old Rongo University student Sharon Otieno and her unborn child.

Obado was found guilty of orchestrating the abduction, which began on September 3, 2018, when Sharon and journalist Barrack Oduor were bundled into a vehicle in Rongo.

Shortly after the car sped off, one of the abductors attacked and attempted to strangle Oduor in the backseat.

Oduor fought back in self-defense, managed to jump out of the moving vehicle, and hid in nearby bushes before seeking refuge at a local homestead and reporting the incident to the police.

Tragically, Sharon remained trapped in the vehicle as the assailants drove her toward Homa Bay.

She was taken to a secluded thicket near Kodera Forest, where she was sexually assaulted and sustained seven stab wounds and two slash wounds.

The violent attack inflicted severe internal trauma and fatal blood loss, killing both Sharon and her 28-week-old unborn child.

Police and local residents discovered her bloodied body in the forest thicket the following day, September 4, 2018.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations - DCI quickly traced the logistical trail, leading to the immediate arrests of the governor's personal assistant Michael Oyamo, Caspal Obiero, and Governor Okoth Obado, ultimately bringing the high-profile case to its final judicial conclusion.

Meet Daniel Wanyeki, he was freed After 17 Years in Prison for a Crime He Never Committed

After spending 17 years in Kamiti Maximum Prison, Kenyan father Daniel Wanyeki is finally free. His heartbreaking story is one of the country’s most shocking cases of wrongful conviction.

Wanyeki was sentenced to life imprisonment after his two young daughters accused him of defilement. But in 2020, one of the daughters bravely confessed in a Thika court that the allegations were fabricated. She revealed that relatives had coached them to lie in order to take control of a family estate in Ruiru worth over Sh50 million.

On Wednesday, the Thika Court ruled there was no evidence for a retrial, and Daniel walked out of prison a free man.

In tears, his daughter Hannah apologized, saying:
“We were children and didn’t understand. I hope my dad forgives us. These 17 years have been painful for everyone.”

Now close to 60, Daniel has lost nearly two decades of his life, but he finally steps into freedom. His case highlights the urgent need for justice reforms in Kenya to protect innocent people from being wrongfully jailed.

Even after clarifications earlier via the press conference held by Governor Babu Owino ,our Luyha brothers are still not satisfied. They've maintained their onslaught on Babu .

Governor Natembeya and Mp Wambokha are doing their best working tirelessly to reduce Edwin W. Sifuna into a Luyha corner. It is now a luyha a fair. Sio mbaya.

But people must be reminded that Babu Owino has his people. He's not alone. He's just exercising restraint. We are his people. We listen and take instructions from him.

I have seen a number of Sifuna supporters from Western trying to belittle Babu Owino based on ethnic grounds.

This is a lazy political strategy that must have been borrowed from a village somewhere in Trans Nzoia.

These guys need a quick reminder of the political timeline in the capital city.

Babu Owino entered national politics long before Raila Odinga brought Sifuna to Nairobi after suffering for long under Wamunyinyi.

Back when Babu Owino was a household name at the University of Nairobi, Sifuna was still learning local politics in Kanduyi.

So the claim that Babu cannot do without Edwin Sifuna is a lazy argument advanced by shallow thinkers.

Another one was saying Luos are less in number than Kikuyus and Luhyas in Nairobi and that Babu won't win.

It's true that Mt Kenya has over 700k people in Nairobi but despite this, they have never produced Governor or Senator since 2013.

Lest we forget, the first Governor was Dr Evans Kidero, a Luo from Homabay who won against Ferdinand Waititu.

He was succeeded by Mike Mbuvi Sonko, a Kamba and then Anne Kananu and currently Johnson Sakaja.

This can tell you that Nairobi residents do not vote like any other village somewhere in Bungoma.

Using a tribal card in Nairobi is a sign of intellectual laziness that won't hold water now or in the near future.
