Comedian YY Announces Abrupt Split from Girlfriend Noela Toywa After Brief Romance

In a surprising turn of events, popular Kenyan comedian YY has revealed the sudden end of his relationship with girlfriend Noela Toywa, just a few months after the couple appeared smitten.

During a recent interview with SPM Buzz's Silva Kido, the funnyman confirmed the breakup, though he was reluctant to delve into the specifics. "We separated, just like how people separate. It's life, let's talk about my show," YY stated, swiftly moving the conversation in a new direction.

The split comes as a shock to fans, who had closely followed the pair's blossoming romance through their social media displays of affection. The couple's relationship seemed to be progressing smoothly, with the two even collaborating on various projects together.

However, eagle-eyed observers began to notice cracks in the facade when YY failed to publicly acknowledge Noela's birthday, which fell on Christmas day - a departure from their usual practice of celebrating each other's milestones.

This subtle shift in behavior prompted speculation among followers, who wondered what could have led to the abrupt end of the relationship that had once appeared so promising.

YY's latest announcement has elicited a range of reactions from his fanbase, with some expressing laughter and others voicing empathy for the situation. The breakup comes just months after the comedian's previous split from his baby mama and actress, Marya Okoth, further fueling discussions around the challenges faced in YY's personal life.

Despite the sudden nature of the separation, YY seems determined to move forward, redirecting the conversation to focus on his upcoming show, as he navigates this new chapter in his life.

Zambian Philanthropist Dora Moono Dies at 30 After Fostering 200 Children and Educating 500 More

Dora Moono, a 30-year-old Zambian woman who dedicated her life to fostering and educating underprivileged children, has died under mysterious circumstances.

Moono founded the Leaving Footprints of Hope organization, which provided shelter, food, and education to hundreds of children in need. At the time of her passing, she was fostering 200 children and had educated over 500 others through her makeshift school under a tree.

Initially, Moono had adopted 16 children and was fostering 3 more. However, when she moved to the Mpapa region, she was confronted with a large number of children who lacked access to education. This prompted her to start the Leaving Footprints of Hope initiative.

Moono's work gained widespread attention on TikTok, where her account amassed over 4 million followers. Through the platform, she was able to raise over KSh 6.5 million ($450,000), which she used to expand her school, build classrooms, and provide for the children in her care.

By the time of her death, Moono had employed 35 staff members to help run the school and support the 500 children she was educating. Her efforts were not without opposition, as some in the local community were skeptical of her ability to care for so many children at a young age.

The circumstances surrounding Moono's death remain unclear, with unsubstantiated rumors suggesting the possibility of witchcraft. However, a recent social media post indicated that she had fallen ill on Christmas Day and drove herself to the hospital, where she tragically passed away.

Moono's legacy as a compassionate and dedicated advocate for children's education and welfare will undoubtedly continue to inspire others in Zambia and beyond. Her untimely passing has left a profound impact on the lives she touched and the community she served.

Koffi Olomide's Kisumu Performance Disappoints Fans Expecting Live Band

Kisumu, Kenya - Legendary Congolese singer Koffi Olomide found himself at the center of controversy following his performance at the MUZQA Fest in Kisumu on Saturday, December 14.

Fans who had paid up to KSh 15,000 for VVIP tickets were left disappointed when Olomide took the stage without a live band, opting instead to sing along to pre-recorded tracks. This unexpected approach sparked immediate backlash from the audience.

"Everything was good until Koffi Olomide appeared on stage armed with just a flash disk, after being curtain-raised by artists who performed with full bands," expressed one disgruntled attendee on X.

A viral TikTok video captured the singer using his phone to record himself while lip-syncing, further fueling criticism from fans who felt cheated by the lack of live music.

"We paid KSh 15,000 for VVIP tickets, and he's here recording himself? Surely, can't he trust anyone else with his phone? Koffi hapa umetuosha," lamented one netizen.

Other reactions on social media echoed the sentiment of wasted money and resources, with one commenter stating, "Waste of money, time and resources...how come he didn't perform live using CD to perform."

The organizers of the event have yet to address the backlash, leaving fans to question the value they received for their significant investment in the MUZQA Fest experience.

Kenyan MP Peter Salasya Surprises Sean Andrew, Mwai Kibaki's Grandson

In a lighthearted conversation, Sean Andrew, the grandson of former Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki, has revealed that he was unaware of the existence of Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya.

During the discussion with comedian Oga Obinna, Andrew mistook Salasya's name for a comedic TV program, saying, "Salasya, ah, no way! Or these segments in the news that make fun of what happened?" He even wondered if Salasya was "the guy that wears a green uniform."

The young Kibaki descendant's admission has sparked reactions on social media, with some users pointing out that the green uniform he mentioned could be in reference to Nominated MP David Sankok.

Despite his apparent unfamiliarity with the controversial and often entertaining Salasya, Andrew expressed admiration for former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, describing him as "quite entertaining" and stating that he would like to meet him to "pick his mind on a few things."

The incident highlights the varying levels of political awareness and engagement among different segments of the Kenyan population, even within the circles of prominent political families.

Salasya, known for his outspoken and humorous personality, has gained a significant following on social media, particularly for his antics in the Kenyan Parliament. His name has become synonymous with the entertaining and sometimes unconventional nature of Kenyan politics.

The exchange between Andrew and Obinna serves as a reminder of the diverse perspectives and experiences that exist within the Kenyan public, and the need for continued engagement and awareness-raising efforts to ensure all citizens, regardless of their background, are informed about the country's political landscape.

Bungoma Goliath Lands Job After Being Rescued from Nairobi Streets

Bungoma Goliath, whose real name is Isaac Otesa, has been offered a job as a bouncer at Club Ibiza in Nairobi just hours after being rescued from the streets.

The 30-year-old had been stranded on the streets of Nairobi after coming from an interview on the Obinna Show Live. He then reached out multiple times to Nairobi County Environment Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria, asking for help.

"I saw many of his missed calls, so I called back, and he told me that he is stranded. I came here to see him and indeed found that he is stranded," said Mosiria.

When asked how he wanted to be helped, Goliath said he just needed fare to travel back to his hometown of Bungoma, which was Ksh 500.

Mosiria had promised to facilitate Goliath's travel to Bungoma and also try to get him a job as a watchman or a bouncer. True to his word, the county official was able to secure Goliath a bouncer position at Club Ibiza.

"The director has agreed to give him a job as a bouncer," Mosiria confirmed.

The development comes just a month after former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Mumias East MP PK Salasya pledged to help Goliath, but he says he has not heard back from them.

Bungoma Goliath, who rose to fame after a viral video where he appealed for financial assistance, expressed gratitude for the opportunity provided by Mosiria and Club Ibiza.
